JAMMU, Nov 7: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Yash Pal, who was allegedly involved in rape and kidnapping case.
According to the police case, on September 6, 2013 one Ajay with whom prosecutrix was having love affair sent a SIM Card to her through Yash Pal. On the pretext of arranging marriage of Ajay and prosecutrix, Yash Pal took her to his house where he raped the prosecutrix.
After hearing both the sides, Presiding Officer Fask Track Court observed, “sexual violence apart from being a dehumanizing act is an unlawful intrusion on the right of privacy and sanctity of female”, adding “a rapist not only causes physical injuries but more indelibly leaves a scar on the most cherished possession of a woman— her dignity, honour, reputation and not the least her chastity”.
With these observations, Court rejected the bail application.
