Bail denied in kidnapping case

JAMMU, Sept 10: Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail application of Khadam Hussain, son of Gulam Husain of Chassana, who was arrested by the police in kidnapping of minor.
After going through both the sides, the court observed, “the liberty of the individual is a precious right guaranteed to him in the Constitution, but at the same time, such right requires to be curtailed, if the offence is against the public order or public conscience”.
“The offence alleged to have been committed by the accused person is heinous and considered to be against the public at large as the consent of the minor is considered to be immaterial for entering in to a marriage contract”, the court further said while rejecting the bail application.
