JAMMU, Dec 1: 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Virender Singh Bhou has rejected the bail application of Nayeem Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmed Dar of Budgam, who was allegedly involved in smuggling of heroin.
“Investigation in the case is at inception stage because chemical analysis of contraband seized from the accused is yet to be done and report in respect thereof is to be procured, so, prima facie involvement of accused for possessing the seized contraband cannot be termed as false”, the court said.
“It has come to fore that accused himself is a law enforcing official and his involvement can be viewed seriously because it is not expected from law enforcer to break law or take law into his own hands”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
