JAMMU, Nov 17: Principal Sessions Judge Poonch, Jaffer Hussain Beigh today rejected the bail application of Maqsood Hussain and Shaheed Iqbal, who were facing trial in gang rape case.
“In the instant case charges have been framed against the accused Maqsood Hussain for offences under Sections 376(1) (2) 363 RPC and against the accused Shahid Iqbal for offence under Sections 363,376, 109 RPC”, the court said, “there are reasonable grounds for believing that the accusation against both these accused persons is prima facie true and they have not undergone detention for a period extending upto one half of the maximum period of the imprisonment specified for that offence under the law”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
