JAMMU, Mar 9: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), Social has alleged that inimical attitude of the State Administration clearly reflected from the inclusion of six Other Social Castes (OSCs) with special indication that now the 32 Social Castes would get a ‘huge reservation’ benefits out of 2% quota kept for these communities in the State.
In a joint statement the AIBCU leaders alleged that indifferent attitude and wrong policies of BJP in the State has ruined the State Backward Classes (Called OSCs) and their main aim is to push the whole population of 32 OSC Castes into 2% quota. They said the reservations on the name of RBA (20%), LoC, IB (3%), Paharis (3%); EWS (10%); all are the reservation to the General Categories, a big attack on the State OSCs. The inclusion of more six castes into the state list of OSCs is a welcome step.
They further alleged that Backward Classes Commission is not working for the OBCs, but working against these deprived classes and never reply to the letters sent to it by SW Secretary regarding the OSC problems. The main job of the Commission at present is to stop / eradicate the natural flow of justice as all appointed members and chairman are from upper castes; hence commission is for upper castes on the name of OBC, they added.
The Union members pointed out that some so called OBC leaders who are running from pillar to post in different political parties, surface from time to time to show their sympathy with the OBCs but in reality they are helping the Political parties in the loot of due share of 27% for their selfish motive.
The signatories to this joint statement are- Abdul Majid Malik, SC Verma, Darshan Mehra, SD Malhotra, Mohd Akbar Teli, Najam-ud-Din, Khurshed Ahmed Ahanger, Anees Iqbal Ahanger, MR Bangotra and Prof Kalidass.
