JAMMU, June 5: Baba Amarnath and Buda Amarnath Yatri Niyas (BABAYN) today assured full cooperation to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and State administration in smooth conduct of this year’s annual Baba Amarnath yatra.
This was stated by Surinder Mohan Aggarwal convener of the Niyas while talking to reporters here today. He said the annual yatra of Swami Amarnath Ji is approaching and it has been the endeavor of the Niyas to cooperate with Board and administration for peaceful and safe conduct of yatra.
He said last year too Niyas had organized langers in cooperation with its allied organizations in Jammu province and at six centers at yatra route in Kashmir valley.
He said the Niyas had also installed information centre at Baltal to guide and provide
information to yatris about the weather condition, terrain etc. The Niyas had also set up dispensary at Chandanwari besides providing other assistance to the yatris and its volunteers were always at their beck and call.
Mr Aggarwal said the Niyas has assured full cooperation to Board and administration this year too for smooth conduct of the yatra. The Niyas has decided to set up two health centres one at Chandanwari and other at Baltal with ambulance facilities round the clock.
The Niyas this year will organize 18 langers in the entire State, he added. He said directives were given to volunteers working with langers that besides serving food to them every needful help be provided to yatris.
Mr Aggarwal said the Niyas has also decided to provide volunteers during the entire yatra to look after the sick pilgrims who are admitted in the hospitals as desired by the Shrine Board. Niyas also made an appeal to the youth to come forward for this noble cause and approach the Niyas at Shakti Ashram Rehari Chungi to get themselves registered with it.
He also extended warm welcome to the pilgrims intending to have the pilgrimage of holy Amarnath cave this year on behalf of Niyas and people of the State.
