Baba Ballo’s birth anniversary observed at Mathwar

JAMMU, Feb 14: The devotees of great spiritual saint and social reformer, Baba Ballo, organized a festival at his revered shrine in village Mathwar to commemorate his birth anniversary on Thursday.
The occasion coincides with Basant Panchami, being celebrated throughout the country with traditional fervour and gaiety. Thousands of devotees of Babaji, from different parts of the Jammu division, thronged the religious place and paid obeisance and sought blessings of the revered saint.
Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, also visited the temple and paid obeisance. He participated in the special Hawan and Pooran Ahooti organized by management of the shrine and offered prayers wishing peace and tranquillity for the State and its people.
Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla also visited the temple and paid obeisance. On the occasion he conducted public grievances camp to assess people’s hardships.
