Looking to the chaotic traffic conditions on Bantalab- Janipur- Amphalla – BC Road , it is imperative to construction of a flyover at least from Amphalla to BC Road but more than after 10 years of its sanction , its fate hangs in the balance.Even the directives of the state High Court are overlooked in respect of the project to be started and completed at the earliest.
In this respect, not only the present but the previous government is to be blamed. The reports are that the required acquisition of land for the purpose is still on the papers. Who is responsible for it, the Government must come out with the facts but the project should not be a causality of redtapism and mere nothings on the files any more .
The project has assumed added urgency and importance because of the traffic confusion, pressure and volume of vehicles.
