Azad’s statement against RSS draws widespread criticism

JAMMU, Mar 14: Various organizations have expressed serious concern over the statement of senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad against RSS.
BJP Senior leader & MLC Ramesh Arora, while condemning the negative comments by Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad about RSS, said that either the Congress leader lacks proper information or he is playing communal card to appease a particular faith in the country, which is very dangerous.
Ramesh Arora said that even a common man can well differentiate between RSS and ISIS as both these organisations have totally different in their approach towards the humanity and the society but leaders like Azad are intentionally closing their eyes for petty political interests.
He said that RSS do not need any certificate of being patriotic organisation as it works for nation building and believes in `Vasudevam Kutumbkamb’ i.e The whole world is a family which further says Sarvey Bhabantu Sukhinam”- Peace for all.
Enraging over the remarks of senior Congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad, who drew a parallel between the global terror network IS and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the State President, Karnti Dal, Jammu and Kashmir termed Azad’s remarks as unfortunate.
In a statement issued here today, Pritam Sharma, an RSS activist, said that such a comparison showed “intellectual bankruptcy” of Congress and its “unwillingness to deal with fundamentalist and cruel forces like ISIS”.
“The ideology of RSS is nationalist and its comparison with militants group like IS shows weak mentally of Congress leader.
State President, Shri Ram Sena, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajiv Mahajan has also taken a serious note of the irresponsible statement made by Congress leader and former Chief Minister of J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Hitting out at Azad’s remarks on RSS, Rajiv Mahajan reminded him that RSS is a patriotic and philanthropist organization in the country which is always in the forefront for national duty at the time of national crisis and in its social responsibilities during the time of any natural calamity its activists never differentiate in providing relief and rescue operation on the basis of caste, religion or region. RSS is a patriotic organisation and it is Congress which attached communal label to it to create a division in the society for its vote politics.
Condemning statement of Mr Azad for comparing RSS with I S, KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri said it does not behold good for a senior leader like Mr Azad to make such a statement against a patriotic organisation which is doing selfless service to the nation since its inception.
Kashmiri said RSS is doing a yeoman’s service to the nation and comparing it with I S is a disservice to the nation. Kashmiri also condemned the statement of AIMIM chief Mr Owaisi who has said that he will not chant Bharat Mata ki Jai.
AMCCC president Desh Rattan has also criticised the statement of Mr Azad saying the Congress leader is fully aware of the service and sacrifices of  RSS volunteers in protecting Muslims from the clutches of terrorists in militancy infested J&K State and an organization which is wedded to national cause can’t be compared to dreaded terrorist outfit ISIS, he added.
