BANIHAL, Mar 31: Former Minister and AICC member Abdul Gani Vakil today expressed his happiness and congratulated Ghulam Nabi Azad for his decision to contest Parliament election from Jammu and Kashmir despite receiving good number of invitations in this behalf from other States.
He said that before strong secular credentials of this visionary leader, communal forces have failed to find a space or corner for their politics of hatred here and have accepted their defeat in advance in this sensitive state. He said that the son of soil once again preferred to serve his home State. Mr. Vakil was addressing public meetings in Hinjhall and Chamalwas in Banihal Constituency.
Mr. Vakil said that under the able and visionary leadership of Mr. Azad, Congress will never allow any person or party to weaken or damage the secular credentials of this country. He made it clear that to prevent breach in communal harmony and integrity of the State, Congress would play a vital role.
While addressing the gathering Vakil said that Azad’s determination for over all equitable development of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir will definitely help this State to come out of red and every issue particularly alarming unemployment will be under focus of the Congress party besides strengthening the bond of unity and integrity will be of prime concern. He said that Azad’s vision for equitable development and prosperity of common masses has helped the Congress in achieving popularity in all the three regions of the State.
PCC leader reiterated that Azad’s contributions both in the capacity Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Minister are exceptional and remarkable. He said that Azad’s hard work, deep insight and dedication has no past example besides his imagination and dream for providing free and accessible health care to every individual is now a reality in our country. He said that NHRM, JSSY, establishment of Super Specialty Hospitals, Health Centers and providing of ambulances viz. a. viz. free medical aid to BPL Category etc across country substantiate these claims.
