Azad inaugurates endoscopy, ultra sound room in LHF Hospital

LEH, Sept 18:  Union Health Minister, Gh. Nabi Azad inaugurated the video endoscopy and ultra sound room and the maternity section of Ladakh Heart Foundation Hospital at Leh this morning.
Urban Development Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora  and CEC Rigzin Spalbar were present on the occasion.
Ven. Thupstan Chogyal, the President and Founder, Ladakh Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Dambuchan while giving a brief note about the functioning of this institute to Gh. Nabi Azad, said that since 1997, LHF is working on many health related issues in Ladakh. He said that this 50 bedded hospital has made fully functional since 2008 and providing health services to the people of this region with focus on needy and poor patients  and with generous supports from the renowned Doctors of AIIMS, New Delhi.
The Doctors of LHF apprised the Minister that as many as 650 to 800 patients are visiting this hospital in a month and getting treatment through general OPD and Gyne cases.
Gh. Nabi Azad also interacted with the admitted patients and enquired about the facilities and care in the hospital.
It is worth mentioning that the maternity section of LHF Hospital is dedicated to the legendary Gynecologist Padmashri Dr. Tsering Lhadol  in recognition of her lifetime selfless health service to the women of Ladakh.
