SAMBA, Apr 6: Following the directions of Lieutenant Governor J&K UT, district administration Samba, today kick started a mobile free medical aid cum awareness camp by Department of Indian System of Medicines (AYUSH) here at DC Office Complex, Samba.
According to the report, District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria inaugurated the medical aid counter in the complex of DC Office and exhorted upon all the district officers to spread the efficacy of Indian System of Medicines in these times of pandemic COVID-19 among all the staff working at vulnerable spots. DDC said that in wake of present situation Indian System of Medicines offers great help in reduction of respiratory disorders, increasing immune system besides also improves overall strength and vitality of humans.
He appealed to public in general and staff deployed in Coronavirus duties to use medicines of AYUSH and increase immune system.
DDC directed the Nodal Officer, ISM district Samba, Dr. Vandana to carry out free medical aids cum awareness camps for two-three days at each major spots in the district including at Government offices, quarantine centres, police posts and other majors spots. He laid emphasis upon including Sarpanches and Panches in distributing door to door AYUSH medicines to general public.
During the inauguration Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal, District Infornation Officer, Ajay Sharma, Dy. Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Kant, Medical Officer, ISM, Dr. Nikhil Mahajan besides other district officers and staff of ISM, DC office and other district offices were also present.
