AXA Assistance, iJet foray into Indian risk management market

NEW DELHI, Mar 17: Risk management solutions provider AXA Assistance and iJet International have announced their foray into India and are aiming to provide solutions to about 10 domestic firms this year in sectors such as IT.
The two global companies are targeting Indian corporate houses which send employees abroad and hire expats.
“Our aim this year is to tie up with at least 10 such companies,” AXA Assistance Director Pradeep Bery told reporters.
Both the firms have partnered to deliver combined security and medical response solutions in India.
“We have come together to provide comprehensive, integrated security and medial response solutions to corporates, expatriates and even students going abroad for education,” Bery said.
However, he did not disclose the revenue sharing mechanism between the firms.
“Each of us is bringing the best service we have and selling to India and share what ever revenue comes,” he added.
According to iJet International CEO Bruce McIndoe:”We have a global tie up and partnership, but we are now focusing on the Indian market”.
“We have now turned to India as the domestic companies here are starting projects outside the country, they are globalising more and more. We see a steady opportunity in India,” McIndoe added.
Further Bery said that another market which they are looking are insurance companies who sell travel insurance.
“We would persuade them to add our product,” he said.
AXA Assistance is a division of French global insurer and is providing assistance services in 30 countries with 6,000 employees. IJet International provides risk management solutions which help multinational firms to operate globally. (AGENCIES)
