JAMMU, May 6: For empowering economically backward girl students, Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust (AWICT) on Wednesday distributed books, stationery, furniture items and water cooler to the Government Girls Middle School Digiana Camp, Jammu.
The event was part of Trust’s on going drive to promote gender equality and to motivate the girls from poor families to continue their studies.
The books and stationery were handed over to the girl students by Aditi Sharma, president of the Trust, who is also a social workers and women- child right activist. AWICT also provided some furniture items and water cooler to the school authorities for students.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditi said that Trust will continue to work for the betterment of society and provide aid to needy students so that they can continue their studies without any hurdle. She also suggested the students to opt good habits in life and study well to achieve desirous goal in life.
