UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: A special awareness drive to educate Panchayat members regarding facilities being provided by the School Education Department to the children and carry out special enrolment in schools was launched in Pancheri Zone today.
As a part of this drive, Rajesh Sharma ZEPO Panchari visited MS Prayee along with staff and educated PRI’s on various facilities provided by Education Department like free supply of books, cash incentive on account of food security allowance under MDM, uniform allowance @ Rs 1200 per student for two years for girl students SC, ST and BPL boys for various categories. The amount is directly credited into the account of the students or their parents.
In addition to this, various CAL centres and ICTs have been established in various schools to provide digital platform to the students. At the same time parents of the various categories like SC, ST,OBC, EBC minorities etc were asked to visit Tehsil office for preparation of various documents like domicile, caste certificate urgently required for availing scholarship benefits.
ZEPO assured the parents full support from Revenue department, Tehsildar Panchari and Moungri as Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib has issued special instructions to Patwaris for giving priority to formation of these documents. Similar awareness camps were organised in Latyar Panchyat at MS latyar, MS Sainga and MS Bernda in the same Zone.
