AVMJ, IAR demand abolition of existing reservation policy

JAMMU, Sept 17: Arakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu (AVMJ) and India Against Reservation (IAR) demanded abolition of the existing reservation policy based on caste and religion.
Addressing a press conference Ram Pal Seth, President, AVMJ demanded abolishing of all types of reservations.
He said that efforts be made for a casteless and classless society based on the principles of equality, justice and liberty. He said that Governments and all political parties follow divide and rule policy just to for vote bank.
He said that AVMJ and IAR are going to organize Shardanjali Samaroh on September 24 at Press Club to pay tributes to the martyrs of 1990 Anti Mandal Agitation and appealed to the people and youth to participate in the programme.
Sat Paul Sharma, president, IAR demanded total abolition of reservation to ensure a real secular and democratic India. Sharma appealed to the youths and the students to boycott their classes and attend the Samaroh function.
Among others present were Raj Kumar Banathia, Kewal Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Tara Singh, Swarn Singh, Shakti Dutt Seth, Deepak Sharma, Raj Kumar Arora, Bhushan Pargal, etc.
