Avantika distributes prizes, awards among students, Principals

JAMMU, Oct 6: Avantika, a group of contemporary Artists and Intellectuals today organised prize distribution/ award ceremony at Government Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi.
Director School Education, GA Qureshi, was the chief guest on the occasion, while, Anand Aggarwal, National Director, Avantika, New Delhi, was also present.
On the occasion, students from Army school, Nagbani, Army School, Akhnoor, Kendriya Vidyalayas, MHAC Nagbani, Shiksha Niketan, Alexander Memorial School, etc participated.
Director School Education along with National Director, Avantika, distributed prizes among the students who secured first, second and third positions, in class 11th and 12th.
Awards to nearly 25 Principals of the top most schools of the State were also presented on the occasion.
A seminar on “Environment System in India” was also organised, in which students participated actively and expressed their views on the topic.
While speaking, Director School Education, appreciated the efforts of Avantika for organizing the function and encouraging the students. He said that such kind of programmes should be organised in every nook and corner of the State, so as to boost the morale of the students.
“The students of class 11th and 12th, who will secure first, second and third positions, will be taken to Bharat Darshan tour”, Qureshi announced.
Anand Aggarwal, in his speech highlighted the aims and objectives of Avantika.
IG Soni, Former Director School Education, Captain Dewan Singh, Hardeev Singh, Madan Lal Abrol, president, Avantika, also spoke on the occasion and threw light on environment related issues.
