JAMMU: A jawan went missing while another retrieved when avalanche hit the Turtuk area of Southern Glacier in Siachen today.
“An Army patrol party was hit by an avalanche in the morning in Turtuk area of Southern Glacier,” Col S D Goswami, defence spokesperson, here said. He said one soldier went missing and another has been retrieved, whose condition is critical.
“All efforts are on to retrieve the missing soldier,” said the spokesperson. (AGENCIES)
