UDHAMPUR, Oct 29: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology Pawan Kumar Gupta held public darbar at Bikhan Gala (Mand).
The people drawn from Mand and its adjoining areas attended the Darbar and put forth their demands pertaining to electricity, drinking water, roads and ration supply.
Gupta gave patient hearing to the people and assured improvement in basic amenities like augmentation of water and electricity supply and improvement of roads in phased manner.
While responding to the complaint of insufficient water supply in Padder and Patha Mohalla, the Minister issued telephonic instructions to the Executive Engineer PHE Division, Udhampur to ensure regular and sufficient potable drinking water supply in both the Mohallas.
As a part of fulfillment of the commitment made with the people, the Minister personally started distribution of food grains on enhanced scale of 35 kilograms per family in Government Depot Bikhan Gala (Mand). Besides, work on improvement of road from Bikhan Gala to Seen Thakran was also started.
Gupta exhorted the people to avail maximum benefit of centrally sponsored social schemes and emphasized to pledge for opting ambitious Jan Dhan Yojana.
