JAMMU, Mar 25: Chinore Police arrested an auto driver and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Post Chinore led by ASI Satish Kumar under the directions of Incharge Police Post Chinore SI AK Choudhary laid a naka near Bantalab and intercepted auto bearing registration number JK02AW-5912.
During checking, police team recovered 108 grams cannabis from the possession of the auto driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Balwant Singh, a resident of Tehsil Barnoti District Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 87/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the guidance of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
