JAMMU, Aug 30: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Rajouri-Poonch range, Ashok Kumar Attri today directed police officers to timely update any information regarding Line of Control to senior officers while he also asked for special training for Special Police Officers.
While chairing a review meeting of police in Poonch, the DIG asked the senior police officers of Poonch to provide timely update regarding any untoward incident on Line of Control as it is very important for every police officer to remain aware regarding any LoC incident.
DIG also asked officers to conduct extensive tour of forward villages so as to maintain a sense of security among the people residing there while he also emphasized upon putting in place all sort of arrangements for fool proof security arrangements in the forward villages.
Beside this, Attri while reviewing the status of investigation of crime related cases across Poonch district, directed officers to put on priority the investigation in the cases of murder, theft and female molestation.
On the other hand, he also asked senior police officers of Poonch district to organise special trainings for SPOs posted in Poonch so that their preparations are improved.
SSP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain, Deputy SP HQ, Deepak Digra, Deputy SP Ops, Javed Naz, Deputy SP DAR, Khalid Amin, SDPO Mendhar, Surinder Chowdhary, SDPO Surankote, Ajay Sharma and many other police officers attended the meeting.
