JAMMU, Feb 8: All Tribal Coordination Committee (ATCC) activists, who were on hunger strike for last six days in support of their demands, called off their strike today.
The activists were demanding justice for Asifa, enactment of Forest Rights Act-2006 in the State, restoration of reservation in promotion, return of their religious and private lands, besides CBI enquiry against Forest Minister and his removal.
However, they called off their strike after Qamar Choudhary, legislator from ruling party reached at Press Club and assured them early redressal of their issues.
Addressing activists after ending their fast, Talib Hussain and Ch Nazakat Khatana said their struggle, which was for a ‘just cause,’ will go on.
