Association of Surgeons of India organises multi speciality camp

DODA, May 28: A two day multi speciality camp organized by Association of Surgeons of India at Sub-District Hospital Bhadarwah concluded today.
Around 1800 patients were examined by a team of 12 specialist doctors during the camp. Besides, examining the patients, 36 surgeries including Laparoscopic, Cataract and Gynocology were also done by a team of Surgeons.
“This camp was organized by the J&K Chapter of an international Organization. Our motive is to provide specialised medicare facilities at the doorsteps in the rural and far-off areas. This is the biggest camp till date in which maximum specialists provided their services”, said coordinator of the Multi Speciality Camp, Dr Tariq Pervaiz Azad.
The specialist faculty include Cardiologist, Urologist, Neuro Surgeons, Gynecologist, Bone Specialist, ENT, Eye specialist and general surgery.
Surgeries performed during the camp include 18 Cataract, 12 Laparoscopic, 2 Gynecological, 3 Piles and 1 for Ulcer Pilferation.
Locals have a sigh of relief as they have been demanding posting of specialist doctors since long and this multi speciality camp proved a blessing for the suffering patients.
Tehsil Representative of J&K, Yateem Foundation Trust, Javed Iqbal Qazi said that the Trust provided drinking water, ambulance and other facilities for the benefit of villagers.
Prominent specialist doctors who provided their service include Dr Mohan Lal (Cardiologist), Dr Farooq Ahmed Butt (Bone Specialist), Dr Ashok Sharma (Eye Specialist), Dr Sajjad Arif (Neuro Surgeon) and Dr Tariq Pervaiz Azad (Surgeon Specialist).
