JAMMU, Mar 18: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today solemnized the Samohik Yagneopavit ceremony of Kashmiri Pandit boys at Sanskrit Bhavan Roop Nagar.
A large number of people, parents and relatives of these boys besides various KP leaders, prominent citizens and office bearers of ASKPC attended the ceremony. The sacred threat was offered to these boys with chanting of Vedic mantras by the religious scholars.
The community people blessed the boys and appealed them to remain linked to their cultural ethos.
President ASKPC Ravinder Raina , advocate while complimenting the participants assured them that his organization will continue to work for the cause and benefit of the society.
The Maha Yagya started yesterday evening and culminated this evening with serving of prashad to devotees. It was coordinated by Dr T K Bhat, general secretary ASKPC, C L Bhat its vice president, Veena Gurtoo president Women Wing and Ravi Raina president Youth Wing.
Among other ASKPC activists present on the occasion included B B Gosani, B L Mujoo, B L Handoo, S K Raina, S L Mujoo, Tej Pandita, Sunil Bhat etc.
