JAMMU, Dec 21: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) (Sanatan Dharam Yovak Sabha) a frontal organization of Kashmiri Pandits strongly condemned and expressed grave concern over the act of violence ,arson, provocative and derogatory sloganeering damaging public property and raising seditious cries in reaction to an act passed by the Supreme Democratic Authority of India in a democratic system.
ASKPC in its Executive Body meeting here today said Constitutionally, democratically and transparently Citizen Act was amended to pave way for granting citizenship rights to persecuted Hindu, Sikhs, Christians from three Islamist countries like Afghanistan , Bangaldesh and Pakistan.
The meeting was presided over by its president Adv. R.K.Raina who urged the Union Government to take tough measures to deal with the hooligans and fanatic elements who bent upon destabilizing India and stalling its progress by creating large scale violence, arson and disturbance . It is highly preposterous that opposition parties backed by Left parties and others are instigating people in the name of alleged attack on constitution and Act being discriminating in nature .
He expressed anguish over such an opposition by these elements for providing some relief to persecuted non Muslim minorities in these non tolerant theocratic countries. It is intriguing and a matter of astonishment to find such a opposition from such elements who are hell bent upon denying and providing relief like citizenship rights to these persecuted people.
Dr.T.K.Bhat general secretary of the organization wondered over such state of affairs and termed the role of opposition unfortunate.
