KASHMIR, Apr 22: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police was caught red handed by Vigilance while accepting bribe.
The accused, namely ASI Abdul Kabir, posted in Police Station Khirbawani, was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant for negotiating the latter’s case FIR number 12/2014 under Section 379, 354, 147 RPC registered at Police Station Khirbawani.
The Vigilance team arrested the accused and registered a case against him under Section 5(2) PC Act svt 2006 and 161 RPC at Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
