Ashok Sharma’s book on national heros hits stands

JAMMU, July 15: Ashok Kumar Sharma Vishist’s maiden book Bharat Key Prakarmi Veeron Ka Kavitamak Parichey (Poetic Introduction of India’s Great Heros) hits stands here, today.
The book was released at an impressive function at Press Club Jammu. The stage was graced by Dr Gharu Choudhary, Principal Vimal Muni College of Education, Vijaypur while Maj Gen (retd) Goverdhan Singh Jamwal was the chief guest on the occasion. Jitender Udhampuri former Director All India Radio, Jammu and Col (retd) Virinder Kumar Sahi were the guests of honour on the occasion.
They highly acclaimed the book and the poet for writing on great heros of the country. They said this is a great tribute to the national heros of India by Ashok Sharma. His contribution will be an inspiration for the younger generations also, they added.
They said such writers needed to be encouraged by the Government and such books be recommended for Government libraries so that the people especially student community can read them. Terming it an extraordinary work by the author, the speakers said he deserves all Kudos for it.
The social activists Kewal Krishan Wadera and Bindraban Sher also spoke on the occasion. They said Ashok Sharma ‘s book is a greal tribute to India’s national heros of whom entire nation feels proud of.
Bindraban Sher proposed vote of thanks on the occasion and also presented Gaytri Mahavigyan and Anirudreh to author of the book. He also presented Neelmat Puran to Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal on the occasion.
Others who graced the occasion included Promila Manhas, Asha Kesar, and V K Singh. The book has been published by Humrooh Publication House and it has been edited by Kishan Kushwaha. The author has dedicated the book to his parents Pt Rattan Chand Sharma and Smitra Devi and son, Ujwal Sharma.
The book contains poems highlighting the valour and patriotism of 16 national heros who also included Shiva Ji Marhata, Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose, Brig Rajinder Singh, Major Som Nath Sharma, Sam Manik Shah, Capt (retd) Bana Singh etc.
