Kalakote, Sept 20: Ashok Sharma, former Legislator and senior Congress leader, has demanded immediate restoration of electricity, water supply and road communication in Kalakote constituency of Rajouri district.
This was stated by Sharma while interacting with people at Snar, Taryath, Kanchimore, Nala and Moghla. Referring to the loss to standing crop and vegetable due to incessant torrential rains, he urged for providing 100% compensation to the affected population besides providing free ration for six months in addition to seeds, fertilizers and agricultural inputs to the farmers on cent percent subsidy for sowing Kharief crop. He also pleaded for arranging immediate supply of ration to the area.
Senior Congress leader stressed that inter departmental team should speedily assess the damage caused by the natural calamity so that adequate compensation can be paid to all the affected people be it loss of standing crop, live stock, houses, farm land and other property.
He assured the sufferers that the damages suffered by them and their resultant hardships being faced by them would be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal.
