Ashok demands establishment of Lok-Ayukta

JAMMU, Mar 2: Senior Congress leader and former Legislator, Ashok Sharma has demanded establishment of the institution of Lok-Ayukta in the State.
Addressing a one day convention of Congress delegates at Kalakote here today, the former Legislator stressed upon the State Government to establish institution of Lok-Ayukta, strengthening of State Accountability Commission and other anti-corruption organizations for eradication of corruption and providing transparent, accountable governance to the people.
Sharma also demanded for double-laning Siot-Kalakote-Rajouri Road besides widening and improvement of entire road network in Kalakote Constituency. He also demanded the Government to declare Siot-Kalakote-Rajouri Road as National Highway bye pass and handover Moghla-Khawas-Kotranka Road to GREF.
The senior Congress leader also stressed for creating more administrative units at the left over deserving places particularly of Kalakote Constituency.
On the complaints of the people that they are being issued inflated power bills far more than the electricity consumed, the Congress leader stressed the Government for reducing power tariffs and charging the consumer as per the actual electricity consumed by them.
