Asha Kiran Welfare Society celebrates 11th Foundation Day

JAMMU, Feb 9: Asha Kiran Welfare Society Janipur Colony celebrated its 11th Foundation Day at Shiv Shakti Temple hall, Janipur Colony.
Chander Mohan Sharma, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest, while Jia Lal Sharma, Retd Director Horticulture and General Secretary, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan J&K was the guest of honour.
The function started with National Anthem by the students of Government Girls Middle School Janipur Colony, fallowed by Sarswati Vandana by Sadikas of Bhartiya Yog Sansthan led by Kusam Bakshi.
Various cultural activities and patriotic songs were presented by the students.
Merit cash awards to students and financial aid to poor widow were given on the occasion. Three sewing machines were donated by the Society to three poor widows.
Dr Vikran Sharma, President of the Society threw light on the activities being carried out the Society.
ID Soni, Chander Mohan Gupta, Jia Lal Sharma and Dr JP Gupta Chairman of the society and Anil Kohli, Publicity Secretary also expressed their views.
In the end, Kamal Netar General Secretary presented vote of thanks.
