JAMMU, Sept 23: All Senior Citizens and Pensioners Welfare Association (ASCPWA) held a meeting, under the chairmanship of its president Dr Mohan Lal Gupta at Ward-13, Resham Ghar, here today.
The members appealed the State Government to implement all the orders issued by the Central Government with regard to the welfare of the employees in letter and spirit.
They demanded sanction of 10 percent DA in favour of the employees and pensioners of the State and the release of 3rd installment of 6th Pay Commission in their favour at an earliest.
Meanwhile, highlighting the role of Association, the members said that the Association pooled Rs 53,156 for Uttarakhand earthquake victims and sent it to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund through Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were Harbarjan Singh, JD Kapoor, RC Vaid, Suresh Sharma, Surinder Kohli and secretary of the Association, S HS Johar.
