JODHPUR, Sept 30: A local court here today extended up to October 11 the judicial custody of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in the infamous case of alleged sexual assault on a 16-year old girl.
The controversial preacher and one of his aides, Shiva were produced before the trial court which remanded them to judicial custody till October 11.
Meanwhile, the bail petition for accused Asaram is listed for further hearing tomorrow before the Rajasthan High Court.
Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani had already argued before the court for his release on bail.
The self-styled godman had allegedly sexually assaulted the 16-year old girl at the Manai Ashram here on August 15 night.
He was arrested in the case on September 1 and since then he is under custody here.
