JAMMU, Nov 18: After a successful completion of two years tenure as the Regional Passport Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Vimarsh Aryan has been picked for an important assignment by the Government of India.
He has been deployed as the Officer Incharge for Union Minister of State for External Affairs General (Retd) Dr VK Singh’s office.
It is noteworthy that passport services have seen a remarkable change during his tenure in the entire State. In addition to two previous Passport Seva Kendras, the number now has doubled to four with the addition of POPSK Leh and POPSK Udhampur.
Various citizen friendly initiatives of the Government of India are being implemented efficiently by Regional Passport Offices of Jammu as well as Srinagar. It included the special passport program of Student Connect that was recently launched at NIT Srinagar in addition to the frequent Passport Melas and Adalats.
Aryan has been awarded the Passport Seva Puraskar 2016 by the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for leading the RPO Jammu in achieving high standards of passport service delivery. He is one of the youngest RPOs in the country having been awarded by the External Affairs Minister.
