Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar celebrates foundation day

JAMMU, May 12: Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Jammu today celebrated 41st day of its foundation by organizing a religious programme.
Function started with pious Yagya followed by Bhajans and Vedic Pravachans . Before starting the Yagya, Ranvijay Shastri explained the importance of Yagya for purification of environment by burning odoriferous substances with pure ghee in sacred fire chanting Ved mantras.
After performing Yagya, flag hoisting of ‘Aum Dhawaj ‘ was performed by the senior most members of Arya Samaj – Raj Gupta and Yuvraj Gupta. Vedic Bhajans were chanted by Hari Om. Dr Ved Kumari Ghai, chief patron addressed the gathering explaining the purpose of establishment of Arya Samaj in the year 1875 by great Saint of that time Maharishi Dayanand Sarswati .
Vedic Pravkta Acharya Vidya Bhanu Shastri ,the chief guest ,also explained how the Arya Samaj had been a great force behind the Indian independence movement motivating hundreds and thousands of freedom fighters to lay down their lives fighting against the then English Government.
As earlier decided by the managing committee , two senior most members of Arya Samaj , Raj Gupta and Yuvraj Gupta were honored for their life time achievement in spreading the good messages of Arya Samaj in the society. They were offered Shawls and Gyatri Mantra Vastra by Acharya Vidya Bhanu and Dr Ved Ghai in the presence of other distinguished members .
Bharat Bhushan Arya , president , also explained that the pious Yagya performed was a tribute to lakhs of freedom fighter and security forces personnel who have laid down their lives while fighting English Government and then to keep the Indian territory safe and secure .
The participants also prayed for peace and communal harmony in the whole world. The function conclude with chanting of Shanti Paath. Ravinder Rekhi , the vice president, has presented welcome address.
