JAMMU, June 2: Jammu West MLA, Arvind Gupta today sanctioned Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the upgradation of the Sant Kabir Sabha Building at Kabir Colony, Ward No. 40 in his constituency.
The announcement was made during his visit to the Sabha premises, where he interacted with local residents and members of the Sant Kabir Sabha Committee. The sanction aims to improve the building’s infrastructure and provide better facilities for social, cultural, and community activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said that community institutions play a vital role in preserving social harmony and cultural values. He assured the residents that the development of public infrastructure and welfare of people remains his top priorities.
“Sant Kabir Sabha has been serving society through various social and cultural initiatives. The upgradation of its building will help strengthen community activities and provide improved facilities to residents. The BJP-led Government is committed to ensuring inclusive development and strengthening grassroots institutions,” he said.
The MLA further stated that Jammu West is witnessing rapid development, and every effort is being made to ensure that essential civic amenities and community assets are upgraded for the benefit of the public.
Former corporator Chaman Lal Bhagat, Mandal president, Anil Angral, Raj Kumar Raji, Raj Kumar Sharma, Keshav Chopra, Sucha Singh, Deepak Kumar, and members of the Sant Kabir Sabha Committee were present on the occasion.
