REASI, Aug 27: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Reasi Rajesh Gupta along with team conducted extensive checking from last three days on various places of district Reasi to check fixation of HSRP plates , overloading & vehicles documents .
During the extensive checking, 25 vehicles were challaned for overloading & other violations, while 14 vehicles were seized which were found without fixation of HSRP. The violators were compounded and a fine of Rs 132,100 was recovered on the spot.
The team sensitized the drivers about relevant sections of Motor vehicle Act and urged upon them to fix HSRP plates to the vehicles and keep documents updated in all respects.
They were further asked to follow the traffic rules in letter and spirit to ensure their safety as well as the safety of the others.
