SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Transport Department today ordered suspension of Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary, the then Incharge ARTO Budgam (presently ARTO Poonch) who has been booked by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
“Pending inquiry into the conduct, Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and the official shall remain attached with the Office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir,” read an order in this regard, issued today by the Secretary, Transport Department, Prasanna Ramaswamy.
Consequent upon this, Syed Shahnawaz, RTO Kashmir, has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the allegations leveled against Jamsheed Rasool and furnish the report to the Administrative Department within month,
Pertinent to mention that case FIR number 19/2023 has been registered against Jamsheed Rasool under section 5(1) (e), read with 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station ACB, Srinagar.
