ARTO Kupwara, 2 Insps suspended

Srinagar, Nov 12: The Government today suspended ARTO Kupwara and two Motor Vehicle Inspectors on charges of corruption.
An order issued by the Government said that the officers of the Transport Department have been placed under suspension for their involvement in case FIR No. 09/2021 P/S Anti-Corruption Bureau Baramulla.
“Pending enquiry, the officer/officials of Transport Department are hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule-31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956,” read the order.
As per the order Mohammad Mukhtar Sofi, ARTO, Kupwara, Khursheed Ahmad Kanna and Abdul Hamid Bhat- both motor vehicle inspectors were suspended.
The order stated that Transport Department shall initiate departmental proceedings against the suspended officer/officials in terms of extant rules. Click here to watch video
“During suspension, the suspendees shall remain attached with the Office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir,” it read.
