KATRA, June 18: Additional Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Reasi-Mohammad Saleem Manhas today conducted checking of vehicles in various areas of Katra and recovered a fine of Rs 30,000 from the traffic violators, an official said.
ARTO Reasi was accompanied by Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Inspector Vikas Srivats and officials from MVD Reasi who conducted checking of vehicles at Katra and adjoining area during which violators were fined while four vehicles were seized including a Auto Riksha, a truck, a mini Bus and a van.
“We had received complaints from locals and tourists that the drivers of passenger vehicles play loud music and also do overloading of passengers, today we conducted checking and fined the violators,” Manhas said.
