JAMMU, Jan 19: Abhinya Kala Manch, Reasi organized a programme ‘Shiv Dutt Memorial Theatre Promotion Awards 2018-19’ at Abhinav Theatre here.
O.P Bhagat, Director Tourism was the chief guest whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh, Additional Secretary, JKAACL was the guest of honour.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director IT presided over the function.
The programme was sponsored by Vardaan Group Jammu. Various dance and singing items by eminent and promising artists were presented on this occasion.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a Film Promo of ‘Lakeer’- a film by Shiv Dutt, the Director of the movie.
Prominent personalities from the field of acting, singing and journalism were honoured during the programme.
The music groups those presented colourful dance items were M Jackson Dance Institute, Janipur, Fusion Dance & Fitness Studio, Upper Gadigarh under the supervision of Jasleen Kaur, AVTAR Dance Group and singers who presented their talent included Jeevan Sharma, Dr. Deepali Wattal, Veena and Chanchal Dogra, Sonali Dogra, Vanshika Jaral, Nandini Kapoor thrilled the audience.
Prominent among those honoured on the occasion were Dr. Aziz Hazini, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Jeevan Sharma, Kumar A Bharti, Mohan Singh Slathia, Shiv Dutt (Posthumously, received by Himani Shiv Dutt, his daughter), Vinay Raina, Veena Dogra, Chanchal Dogra, Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Sapna Soni, Akram Khan, Jasleen and Group, Roshan Bill & Group, AVTAR Group, M Jackson & Party, Rampaul Dora, Jang S.
