JAMMU, May 13: Art of Living Jammu chapter celebrated Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s 66th birthday today by organizing several events.
A mesmerizing concert of divine music was organized in the evening at Teachers Auditorium, Government Girls High School, Gandhi Nagar (Jammu). Besides this, a Guru Pooja, meditation session by Sri Sri himself (online) and a splendid performance by AOL international fame singer & Teacher Saket Kakkar, who kept the gathering enchanted with his rendition of blissful bhajans.
The devotees were exhilarated experiencing divine energy generated in the Satsang. The Art of Living Jammu chapter also celebrated this day with Sumeru Sandhya -an evening of divine & Sufi music with Saket Kakkar. The concert was organized to raise funds for ‘Gift A Smile Project’– an art of living initiative to educate the rural and tribal children.
The event started with Ganesh Bhajans by Saket Kakkar followed by Guru Pooja performed By Gurupandits of AoL Jammu chapter along with all teachers of Jammu. The candle lighting ceremony which was done by apex members and Yogesh Gaur Gupta STC of AoL J&K. All senior faculty, teachers, devotees, volunteers and public from all walks of life attended the event in a jam packed hall.
During the show, all attendees were informed about AoL Jammu chapter’s upcoming programmes and courses for society, business class and youth to be held at all the centres of Art of Living in Jammu in tune with the organization ideology of Sadhna, Seva and Satsang.
Earlie Sudershan Kriya- a rthymic breathing exercise evolved by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, was organized at all happiness centres of AoL in the Jammu city, Kathua, Udhampur, which was attended by a very large number of followers of the revered Guru.
Similar events were also organized at Kathua and Udhampur to mark the birth celebrations of the revered Guru. A musical evening was also organized at Kathua where Ravinder (renowned AoL) singer sang blissful bhajans.
