JAMMU, Aug 7: J&K Vichar Manch (JKVM) has welcomed the landmark move of Modi government wherein Article 370 has been removed from the J&K State and it has been bifurcated and converted into two Union Territories. In a handout JKVM stated that this is a historical moment to rejoice for all Indians in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular. The JKVM also thanked the Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah for this extraordinary courage and vision.
Meanwhile, voicing joy over the scrapping of Article-370, former Union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta hailed PM Modi led dispensation and said that this daring step will go a long way in the annals of history. He said that this is the real tribute to great leader Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji who laid his life for the same cause. Prof. Gupta however emphasized that due care should be taken so that Jammu gets its due share as the people of this region had been maltreated.
