SRINAGAR, Oct 14: In connection with arrival of Hajj pilgrims to the Valley after performing their Hajj, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Shalinder Kumar convened a high level meeting of Divisional Officers for ensuring full proof arrangements to facilitate their journey smoothly to the destinations.
The meeting was told that the first batch of Hajj pilgrims would be received at Srinagar International Airport on October 21, 2013. It was also told that the process of arrival of the Hajj pilgrims would be continuing till November 6, 2013.
During the deliberations, the Divisional Commissioner directed the officers that every kind of facility including providing of accommodation, boarding and lodging, uninterrupted electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation in and around the Hajj House and better transport from Airport to Hajj House should be provided to all Hajj pilgrims at the Airport particularly belonging to Jammu and Ladakh regions.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Director Airport Authority, Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Superintendent of Police Security, Joint Director Information, Kashmir, Superintendent of Police Rural, Hajj Officer Srinagar, General Manager SRTC and other officers.
