JAMMU, Sept 7: Around three persons were booked in accident and stone pelting case.
As per police sources, an information was flashed by Police Control Jammu (PCR) to Police Station Nagrota stating that a car bearing registration number JK02CJ-5105 is heading toward Jammu from Udhampur and it is suspected that some drug peddlers along with consignment are in the car.
Acting over the information, the personnel from Nagrota Police Station tried to intercept the car at Ban Toll Plaza, but around three occupants traveling in the car hit the barrier and escaped from the spot. They also pelted stones on the cops, but the latter escaped unhurt.
A case under FIR Number 342/2020 under Sections 279 and 336 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
