JAMMU, Feb 6: Arora Biradari today demanded political reservation for the people of the community.
Addressing a press conference here today, the representatives of the Biradari, which include KK Arora, Kewal Gulati and many others, said that Arora Biradari is a big Biradari of 847 sub-castes like Nagpal Vermani, Batra, Gulati, Gandhi, Duluja, Dua, Makar, Grover, Sodi, Bedi, Ahuja, Malik, Khurana, Chabra and many more but political parties always ignore due representation to them in political setup and organization.
They said the Biradari members have great resentment against these political parties and in general house and other meetings, the Biradari members have unanimously decided to boycott these parties who have denied the community its due representation.
“Now, our community has awaken and political parties have to give us our due representation in forth coming elections,” they said, adding any eye wash will not be tolerated as pledge has been by the community to vote for those who will give them due representation.
They said that those political parties which will take the community for granted will face the music in upcoming Assembly elections as more than 35% population of the community is in Jammu East while 25% is in other constituencies.
