SRINAGAR, May 10: In order to impart skill based training to the youth of far flung areas of Narayannag, Army commenced a four day workshop which started on Wednesday.
An Army spokesman said the workshop is being run by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development in collaboration with Healing Touch Foundation (NGO) with an aim to empower the youth of this tribal region by developing essential skill set to make them self reliant and help them in gaining employment opportunities.
He said the workshop was inaugurated by Zulfikar Shah, SDM, Kangan and the inauguration ceremony was attended by various other dignitaries.
“The Workshop was well appreciated by the locals and such empowering initiatives will go a long way in facilitating a bright future for the youth of the Valley,” he said.
