Army and stone pelters

Sir,
This refers to the news item “2 protestors killed in Army firing,” carrying one more caption, “CM speaks to DM, expresses anguish”. Her anguish over the incident is not genuine but highly biased. As per her version given in the para 5 of the story under reference, “such killings notwithstanding how erroneously made, impairs the political process in the State which has been put on track after hard work by all political parties”. Yes the Kashmir based political parties have jointly put a massive hard work to normalise the peace process where when one party is in power the violence is being triggered by the other and vice-versa. Moreover, these parties enjoy so much public support and popularity that only 5-6 percent voting takes place in the entire Kashmir valley during any kind of polls. And based on that poll percentage they enjoy the reins of power and start dictating terms to the Central Govt. The CM can express anguish over the loss of life of those who if had not been stopped would have lynched so many Indian Army soldiers. But she does not have any sympathies with the innocent soldiers falling prey to fanatic mob highly bent upon to kill them and destroy the public property without any rationale. The observers must also note if they can give this kind of treatment to armed men, how they would treat the common unarmed man who would just be not a part of their mentality. The question at the first place arises how these miscreants gathered in such a large number with ill agenda in mind and started throwing stones on the peacefully moving Indian Army personnel and vehicles. Is it not a local law and order failure ? and is it not the duty of the State Government to avoid that situation?
What has happened has pained everybody but the onus lies on the local administration to avoid such kind of incidents in future. And what the Indian Army has done has done in its defence which could have been a natural impulse of anybody in that situation. So, in this particular mis-happening we all stand with our Army and question the capability of local administration so far as the repercussions of this incident are concerned.
Yours etc…
