Army repatriates PoK national in Poonch

JAMMU: Army today repatriated a national of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, who inadvertently crossed over to this side on December 16 in Poonch district.

“One Abdul Rehman, resident of Barnala Tehsil, Bhimber, PoK had inadvertently crossed over to India on December 16,” a Defence spokesman said here.

He said Indian Army, in a humanitarian gesture, informed Pakistan about his details.

“After confirmation by Pakistan Govt, he was repatriated today at Chakan-da-Bagh crossing on the LoC in the Poonch,” the spokesman added. (AGENCIES)
