JAMMU, July 22: Army provisioned study material and stationery to Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN) located in the remote area of Surankote Tehsil of Poonch District under the Sadbhavana initiative, today.
It was felt that the project of provision of study material and stationary to the school going children at Surankote, will assist and improve the standard of education level. Providing the young ones the right kind of literature in the formative years would go a long way in their personality development and growth. It will meet the aspirations of school students and teaching staff and provide them enhanced facilities for imparting education.
The Army is taking steps to improve the Youth Employment Guidance Node and youth clubs in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch to provide essential facilities to the youth such as library, gymnasium and internet to channelise their youthful energy gainfully. A number of other such projects have been planned to rejuvenate these youth clubs by the Army.
The village elders and the prominent personalities of the area appreciated the noble gesture and whole heartily supported the good will and bonhomie extended by Army to needy school children.
