JAMMU, Apr 28: Army placement mela is being organized on April 30 and May 1 at Kala Gate, Bari Brahmana, Military Garrison, Jammu under Tiger Division for the Veterans of Jammu and Kashmir.
The placement mela is to provide second career opportunities to the veterans of the Army by bringing the employers and the veterans on one platform for selection and recruitment in various job profiles.
A large number of industries including from SICOP Gangyal, SIDCO Bari Brahmana and SIDCO Samba have volunteered to take part in the placement mela and employ veterans who are found suitable.
All the veterans of the Army under the age of 55 years are eligible to participate. The interested veterans are required to pre-register themselves and carry along with them their ESM Card, Aadhaar Card, updated resume, latest passport size photos and references if any.
